Ingredients

  • 16 gluten free crostini
  • 1 cup blackberries
  • 1 wedge brie
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil (lightly packed)
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • coarse salt (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the basil by washing it, drying it, and slicing it into thin strips. Optionally, you can also cut the blackberries in half so that they will sit on the crostini more easily.
Make sure that you thoroughly dry all of the crostini toppings so that they do not make the crostini soggy.
  • Spread the brie out on the crostini pieces.
  • Top the brie with a few strips of basil and a few blackberries. You can press the basil and blackberries into the brie a little to help stick them onto the crostini.
  • Drizzle the crostini with a small amount of honey and optionally sprinkle some coarse salt on top of the crostini.
If the crostini bread that you are using already has a lot of salt on it then you do not need to add additional salt. If it is very lightly salted then some additional salt will benefit the flavor.
